SUMMARY
This symposium explores the growing role of molecular imaging in improving the diagnosis and management of dementia, starting from the complex overlap between Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and other neurodegenerative disorders. Through a multidisciplinary perspective combining neurology and nuclear medicine, the faculty will discuss how co-pathologies can influence clinical presentation, diagnostic pathways, and patient management.
Topics include the clinical impact of overlapping dementia pathologies, the value of molecular imaging in differentiating Dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB) from Alzheimer’s disease, and the role of amyloid PET imaging in supporting accurate and timely AD diagnosis. Together, these sessions highlight how advanced imaging techniques can help clinicians navigate diagnostic complexity and enable more personalized patient care.

Shaping the Future of Radioligand Therapy: From Drug Development to Clinical Application

Summary:
This expert-led symposium brings together a multidisciplinary faculty to explore the evolving landscape of radioligand therapy (RLT) development—from foundational principles and approved therapies to novel targets, radionuclides, and indications. The panel will discuss key challenges and opportunities in early clinical development, including the role of dosimetry, safety reference thresholds, and other available evidence to inform development decisions. The symposium will conclude by looking ahead to what is needed to successfully integrate novel RLTs into routine clinical practice.

Title: OmniUltra™: An In Vivo Discovery Platform for Structured Peptides to Enable Radioligand Therapy

Speaker: Christel Iffland, PhD, Sr. Vice President, R&D Portfolio Management and Technology Operations, OmniAb

Summary: OmniUltra is an in vivo discovery platform designed to identify compact, target-selective peptide ligands with potential advantages for radioligand therapy and other applications. Peptides are generated and optimized in vivo, using natural selection mechanisms to enrich for high-affinity target engagement, specificity, favorable size, and tunable pharmacokinetic clearance. OmniUltra harnesses immune-system biology which may enable identification of drug-like binders earlier in discovery compared to traditional approaches.
