Overview
All abstracts accepted for presentation at EANM’26 are considered confidential and embargoed until the time of their official presentation at the congress.
Authors, co-authors, affiliated institutions, sponsors, collaborators, universities, hospitals, research institutions, and public relations teams must respect this embargo and must not publicly disclose study results or data prior to the embargo lift.
The embargo policy applies equally to press releases, public statements, social media communications or any other online channels.
Abstracts must not be distributed to the media or publicly discussed before the embargo is lifted, except in the case of official embargoed press releases issued by EANM.
Violation of the embargo policy may result in appropriate actions determined by EANM.
Timeline
-
Abstract submission and selection
Abstract submissions are open until April 24, 2026. Authors will be notified of the outcome of their submission on June 26, 2026, by e-mail.
Until notifications are issued, submitters must not publicly communicate that their abstract has been accepted for presentation.
-
Before publication of abstract titles
Before EANM publishes the list of accepted abstract titles, no press releases, public statements, or social media communications referring to the selected studies may be issued.
-
After titles are published but before abstracts are released
Once the list of titles has been published but the full abstracts remain under embargo, communications may only refer to the fact that the study will be presented at EANM’26.
No study data, figures, results, or conclusions may be disclosed at this stage.
-
After abstracts are published but before the scientific session
Following publication of the abstracts, communications may refer to the abstract content but must clearly state that the research has been submitted for presentation at EANM’26 and has not yet been presented.
No additional data beyond what is contained in the published abstract may be disclosed.
-
After the official presentation at the EANM’26 congress
Once the abstract has been presented during the scientific session, the embargo is lifted.
Press materials may include:
- Data contained in the abstract
- Additional findings presented during the session
- Interviews with authors
Press materials should reference:
- Congress name (EANM’26)
- Abstract title and number
- Session details
- Author(s)
- Related peer-reviewed publication (if applicable)
-
Embargoed press releases issued by EANM
Studies deemed particularly newsworthy may be selected for an official EANM press release.
Journalists will receive access to embargoed press materials approximately one week before the presentation.
During this period, authors may be contacted by journalists for interviews. Authors are encouraged to engage with media to help ensure accurate reporting.
All information remains strictly embargoed until the time of the official presentation at EANM’26.
